Three decades on the other side of the desk
Most fire safety consultants have only ever prepared applications. Denis O'Connell brings over 30 years in fire safety, 18 of them as Head of the Fire Prevention Section for a County Fire Authority — the office that decides them. During that time, the section dealt with circa 1,900 Fire Safety Certificates. With that level of experience, he knows which submissions are accepted and can deliver a fire safety solution that's both efficient and cost-effective. He has since spent 2.5 years in independent practice. As an Independent Fire Safety Consultant, he has addressed and resolved an extensive range of fire engineering matters.
