Fire safety services, end to end

Statutory certificates, assessments, management systems and training — every service delivered with the insight of 30+ years inside the fire authority.

01

Fire Safety Certificates

A Fire Safety Certificate is a legal requirement for most new buildings, extensions and material changes of use in Ireland. DOCON prepares and submits the complete application — drawings, compliance report and fire safety design — and engineers solutions that satisfy the Building Regulations while working with your building layout, not against it. Having led a team that processed around 1,900 of these applications on the authority side, Denis knows exactly what an approvable submission looks like.

02

Fire Safety Assessments

A structured assessment of your existing premises, carried out with reference to the national Code of Practice for Fire Safety Assessments of Existing Buildings (2022). You receive a clear picture of where your building stands, what risks exist, and a prioritised, practical path to compliance — written in plain language for owners and managers, not just other engineers.

03

Fire Safety Review

Fire safety measures are often added to a building piece by piece over the years — an alarm upgrade here, new doors there. A DOCON review examines all of your fire safety elements together and confirms they form one cohesive, effective overall system, identifying any gaps or conflicts before they become problems.

Independent review · Whole-system view · Gap analysis · ‘Above the Shop’ conversions

04

Disability Access Certificates

A Disability Access Certificate (DAC) is required alongside your Fire Safety Certificate for most new works. DOCON prepares and submits the full DAC application, providing access solutions that meet Part M requirements while respecting the realities of your building's layout and your budget.

05

Fire Safety Management

A certificate on the wall means little without day-to-day management behind it. DOCON sets up new Fire Safety Management systems — or reviews your existing one — to make sure it is appropriate for your premises, proportionate to the risk, and genuinely easy for your team to operate and maintain.

06

Manager Training

Your managers are the ones who run the system when nobody is watching. DOCON provides practical training in Fire Safety Management for managers — grounded in real incident experience — so they understand not just what the procedures are, but why they matter and how to run them effectively.

On-site training · Real incident insight · Practical procedures
